Who should attend?

Attendance is highly recommended for individuals responsible for driving their organisation’s engagement with the UN Global Compact and those authorised to vote during the formal part of the Annual General Meeting (please see details below).

To ensure fair representation of all members, tickets for in-person attendance will be initially limited to 2 representatives per organisation. We may release more tickets closer to the event. There is no limit on virtual participation.

*Please note that this event is open to UN Global Compact Network UK members only and registration is subject to approval.

Can you vote during the AGM?

Part of the AGM will be dedicated to addressing some important governance matters that require a vote from eligible members and their appointed representatives. While all members of the UN Global Compact Network UK can attend this part of the event, not all will be eligible to vote. Eligibility will depend on whether your organisation has requested to join the Global Compact Network UK charitable company limited by guarantee. This is different from the application to join the UN Global Compact initiative. You can check if your organisation is eligible to vote here.

All eligible members will have appointed a representative to attend and vote at the Network's general meetings on their behalf. A separate formal notice will be shared with them 14 clear days prior to the event. Appointed representatives can choose to nominate a proxy to attend and vote on their behalf. For more information on voting during the AGM or if you wish to join the Global Compact Network UK charitable company limited by guarantee, please email Cole Hine.

For any enquiries, please reach out to the Team at participant.engagement@unglobalcompact.org.uk
