As Renew Manager- Greater Manchester for SUEZ recycling and recovery UK, Claire is responsible for the award winning Renew project, a partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority. This includes the innovative Renew Hub as well as three Renew shops and online sales platforms. The Renew Hub focuses on prevention, reuse, and repair to move towards a circular economy and reduce reliance on imported resources.

Claire worked in payroll in the hospitality industry before moving to the waste and resource sector in 2018. Originally working as a Weighbridge Clerk Claire then moved into a number of other roles including Household Waste Recycling Centre Supervisor and Plant Supervisor before moving to Renew in 2023.

Since joining Renew Claire has led on the project, looking for new opportunities including pop up shops, new sales avenues, and community engagement. To date sales from Renew have increased year on year and have raised over £1.5 million for good causes in Greater Manchester and is a key part of SUEZ’s social value commitments on the contract. Over 300,000 items have been diverted from waste and given a second life.
