Nicki is currently the Sustainability Director for WHSmith (a leading international travel retailer throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, North America and Australia), where she is responsible for environmental, social and corporate governance issues. Her role includes leading the company’s response to climate change, waste and resource management, plastics and packaging, ethical trade issues in the supply chain and interaction with charities and local community groups. She works closely with the WHSmith Board on ESG management and leads the company’s engagement with external stakeholders, including investors, landlords and customers. She has recently been a Non-Executive Director for Nisbets, the largest B2B retailer of catering supplies in the UK, before its recent sale to the international services and distribution group, Bunzl. Prior to WHSmith, Nicki worked for Vodafone for 15 years, setting up the first corporate responsibility programme for the UK business.
